Pastel Silhouette Art

This is our Silhouette Artwork.

We watched a 5 minute craft video of the different types of ways to create magical pastel art and we got inspired to give it a go ourselves. We soon realised it wasn’t easy but the results were definitely worth the sore fingers we encountered as we blended the colour using tissue paper to create the beautiful backgrounds.

Hope you enjoyed our finished masterpieces.

Inferencing Task Cards

One of my activities for Reading was "Inferencing Task Cards" where the students had to read a description and based on it, they had to inference the hidden messages within the text.

It was a fun activity where they had to insert an image of the answer which showed their creativity!

Science Exhibition - Room 13

Room 13's Science Exhibition

WELCOME!

Room 13 has been learning about "States of matter", which are "Solid, Liquid & Gas".
From this new learning, we were then put into groups of 4, and we had to find an experiment (student choice) that aligns with the theme, "Solid, Liquid & Gas" (or the process from each state to the next) Our final result with our tri-folds. just SPEECHLESS!
#Proud Teacher

Though there were a lot of failures with some of the experiment, we had fun giving it ago. We will also attempt our experiments after evaluating our current result to identify what we need to do to be more successful!

Here are just some of the images from today

Some art using tools from Google Drawing

I taught the class this week, how to trace over images from google and re-creating them on Google drawing using LINE tools.
The results are incredible.

We had so much fun with this and can see how useful this is in the future when students are using images, they can just create their own version of the image

Kawa of Care Reminders

Today we went through the Kawa of Care to remind us of the Expectations and Responsibilities of having a Chromebook. So we went through 5 of the responsibilities and the students had to choose one of them to put on a google drawing. The instruction was to use one of the rules that they felt they keep forgetting or neglecting.

I also did one with them.
